This is not a place to complain “they don’t listen to me”. If you signed up for CDAT, you signed up for more responsibility, more maturity, more expectation, and we gave you the tools and environment in which to do it.
Some of you have demonstrated excellent effort and skill, and some have been a bit more challenged to focus on your responsibilities. No one is perfect, and even if you've started strong we have very high expectations, as you should too.
On Friday, August 20, you will receive Part 1 of your latest project where you choose how to learn the given AKS. In short, we're looking for a clear proposal, in rough draft form, of your ideas on addressing the AKS. The Language Arts AKS are more limited, and should be the initial focus. The technology AKS are a bit more flexible around your schedule and interests, but they must all be covered this year.
After you submit your draft, you will return Monday to an official form for your project, group contracts, grading rubrics to be used at the end of your project, and more. In addition, some project planning forms to keep track of responsibilities, individual and group progress reports, checklists for the final presentation, and more.
When are all of these things due? That's also up to you. Just make it before our 6 weeks are up!
Here are most of the documents you'll need, you'll get more later:
Final Grading Rubric will be posted here. In addition, expect to have a multiple choice and writing evaluation at the end of the first 6 weeks.
