Congratulations on wrapping up Project 1!!  Whether you know it or not, you experienced (and hopefully learned) a lot.  In addition to practicing your writing, you've used standard computer software like Word and Internet Explorer, then did "cloud-based collaboration" with Google Docs, and finally wrapped it up with some graphic editing in Photoshop and website development in Google Sites!  Pretty good for 3 or 4 days.

On to Project 2.  You've made stuff with tools, now it's time to make more professional products.  The core topic of the Language Arts is "compare and contrast", while the emphasis for technology is design, style and possibly some HTML coding thrown in.

Click here for the Google Doc for the assignment, and any links would be located on the "Links" page under "Project 2".  Here's a suggested timeline:
  • Day 1: Decide on a topic, start to do some research for your points.
  • Day 2: Have a draft ready of some of your major points, and try to order them.  You should maybe spend some time working on some design concepts and color schemes for your site.
  • Day 3: More revisions for both the information and the site design.
  • Day 4: Deliver an awesome product!
Let's get started!
