Very proud results!

Well the final statewide and county-wide EOCT numbers are not in, but ours are here.  Drumroll please....

A comparison college-prep class scored as follows (24 students):
2 Exceeds
22 Meet
0 Not Meet

A comparison Pre-AP class scores as follows (24 students):
14 Exceeds
10 Meet

Our CDAT students CRCT scores from 8th grade (not all students had scores):
7 should Exceed
13 should Meet
2 should Not Meet

Our results (25 students):
14 Exceeds!!!!
9 Meet
2 did not Meet

Yes, bummed about the 2 who did not pass: one student had significant trouble in all of her classes, and does have other accommodations, while the other student barely attended school due to domestic trouble.  AND, the two students whose did "not meet":  one missed passing by 1 question, and the other missed by 2 questions!!!

But look at our similarity to the Pre-AP/Honors!  Look at the Exceeds compared to how they were expected to fare!  Our demographics are so cool to look at too:  33% female, 30% African-American, 10% Hispanic, 15% IEP/SPED, 40% Free/Reduced Lunch.  When we showed these results to the class, it was the most sincere celebration for academic achievement that I've ever been a part of.

I can't wait to do a wider comparison with county and State data.  I am so excited by our results, and know we can do even better.  You know you've done school well when the kids are bummed that summer has arrived, that they will miss class!!  Something is definitely working...
